The owner of the kennel and one of the head trainers is Katie Schwarzwaelder.
Katie is a lover of all dogs, but she breeds and competes actively with her Doberman Pinschers under the Doberman Kennel von der Schwarz.
Katie is back to back winner of the 2018 and 2019 Doberman National Working Championships of the United Doberman Club with her stud dog Ferro (Benavides) IPO3 and represented the United States at the World Championships (IDC) in 2019 in Hungary, and qualified for the World Championships in 2020 as well. Dogs from her breeding and training program have won the UDC National Championships and Fall Classic World Qualifiers in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
She breeds responsibly and is one of the only Doberman breeders in the United States that in 10+ years of breeding never had a single dog die of Congenital Heart Failure, which is the #1 cause of death in her breed.
She spends hours and hours studying pedigrees and does all the necessary health testing if not more!
She has knowledge and experience for all types of training from puppy development through the highest level of sport, police, and military dog training. She also has knowledge in canine health, reproduction, and nutrition.
